Would you like to get away for it all for a week of unwinding and letting go?

Join senior teacher Catherine Annis for a week of yoga and meditation, laughter and relaxing, with plenty of time for chilling out and exploring in magical Spain.  Together we’ll practice yoga twice a day in possibly the finest yoga studio in the whole of Europe.

Yoga Classes

This yoga retreat will feature two classes a day, morning and afternoon, with one day off midweek, so you can explore the local area.  The yoga is based on the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, including the flow of breath, and the pull of gravity through the body.  These elements combine to reveal and release the natural freedom of the body, particularly the spine.  This subtle yet profound approach to yoga gradually enables us to reveal long-held patterns, and helps us find a fresh sense of space and elasticity in all our movements, both on and off the mat.

Leave feeling refreshed and revitalised, with more energy and creativity for your life and work back home.

Suitable for all

The practice is suitable for all levels of yoga experience from beginners to advanced, and may be particularly helpful for those working towards more freedom and length in their spine.

Arrival day is Saturday, October 7th, 2017. You are welcome to check in at 3:30 pm. If you arrive earlier, you’re welcome to lounge by the pool until your room is ready. Check-out is 12:00 noon on October 14th.

Catherine Annis is well known for her imaginative and practical approach to yoga.  Originally a professional dancer, she discovered yoga as a teenager, and has been practicing / teaching for more than 35 years.  Having explored Sivananda, Iyengar, Ashtanga and various forms of Hatha yoga, she eventually gravitated to the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.

Catherine’s practice and teaching focuses on deepening physical awareness and alignment to reveal the natural freedom of the body, particularly the spine.  She is an attentive and thoughtful teacher, and highly skilled at adapting poses to accommodate all levels and types of students, so that everyone leaves class feeling that they have made a fresh discovery about their yoga practice.

She is a member of the Triyoga teacher training faculty and teaches weekly classes in London.  She also leads retreats at various locations in India and Europe, and created the first Scaravelli inspired immersion course, which is held annually, and is regularly invited to teach workshops throughout the UK, and internationally.
